Kinda strange...
We have ordered more than 20 Maxtor 6.8gb (DiamondMax Model
90680D4's) drives and have had no problems with ANY of them... They
were used as an upgrade project on a wide variety of platforms and
OS's, everything from DOS only, to Win3.11, Win95, Win98, Linux and
SCO. They replaced drives of all types and sizes from 200mb to 3gb.
We did have an older Maxtor drive that was working a bit weird. It
was more than 2 years old but Maxtor is replacing it free of charge.
