Forcing print jobs from the spool

When we print jobs from the network workstation to the server with the
printers the jobs end up in the spool for lp0. And they don't print until
some undefined future time (although no other jobs are occupying the
printer).

I would like to know: 1) how to flush jobs from the lp0 spool to the
printer and 2) how to set up the workstation (and/or WordPerfect 7) so that
the jobs print as soon as the printer is available.

I've looked at lpc, lpr and other related man pages and I see nothing
which will solve my problem.

Any and all help needed ASAP.

TIA,

Rich
