I'm about half way through the document, and I have to say, it sounds
convincing.. Even it is not legit, there is much in there that we can stand
to learn from--and prepare ourselves for.

Open Source supporters: If you don't do anything else this this week, you
should read this.
If this memo is legit, Microsoft is behaving true to form. They are looking
for ways to break Open Source, not just Linux, even if the customer stands
to lose. ESR makes some good points in the notes he included with the memo.
This is definitely well worth the read.
