Fid,

  One book which excels at putting everything together in a very
understandable way is Phil Cornes' "Linux A-Z". For more advanced, specific
information I'd recommend the System Administrator's Guide, the Network
Administrator's Guide and/or TCP/IP Network Administration. Each has the
information needed to solve specific problems or to learn something new.
