I'm in the midst of my first experiment with automated interactive
processes, and I've confused myself again, I think.
I have an expect script which pages me using cu. It works fine if I
call it from the command line, but when I put it in cron, root gets this
mail:
(header skipped)
spawn /bin/bash
failed to get controlling terminal using TIOCSCTTYparent sync byte
write:
broken pipe
I think there's a way to tell expect not to use a controllying tty, but
I've been through the manpage and I can't find it. Or is something else
wrong?
