Help with lpr

I have been using this RedHat 5.1 with all the updates for quite a
while now. I have a minimal of problems but now all of a suden I have
to restart the lpr damion. It will run for the time it takes to print
the queue and then exit. I have not changed anything exept added a
printer to the printcap file with printtool. I do not understand what
went wrong.
Please help.
