DNS and diald - can they work together?

Thanks for the help. It *was* diald, I didn't realise that DNS queries were 
blocked.

I know about the wierd traffic generated by NETBIOS and NETBEUI and both 
have been consigned to oblivion (until the day I hit something that requires 
them -ugh!- ).
