Translation: it is still vaporware.

Oh yes, Hubs. Well, my idea of a hub, which would not neccesarily
appeal to everyone, but I think would grab a chunk of the market,
is
to have a rack mount hub that has ports front AND back. Think
about
it for a while and you will see that its a good idea. Say 12 in
back
and 4 in front. With a little finesse in design, you could even
have
it so it mounts on the rack either way, then you could have 4 in
back
and 12 in front. :-)
Pet peeve #2. Is the number of products using those blasted "Wall
Warts"
or power supply cubes that cover up two or three outlets. At lest
the EN500 series from Netgear have built in supply, and are cheap.
Pet peeve #3 and this applies to Cobalt too. Why charge $500 more
for
the RACK version vs. the ergo version?
As for Cisco 1601, I had one of those and chucked it for a 2501
because I could not do anything with it. Not only can't you stack
anything on top of it because its rounded, they even put the LED's
on the top so you can't read it unless its on a LOW shelf. Then,
it skids all over the place because its so light. The V35 cable
from the csu/dsu is stiff, and it moves the 1601 wherever it wants
to. Bummer. Basically, the 1601 doesn't LOOK like a router, but
like
something that came from the rear end of a cow. And you can tell
Cisco that Ramon said that!
