[IDE driver as kernele module]

Although I've never used that feature, I know that it is possible in an
all-SCSI environment to have the SCSI driver modular. In that case, an
initial RAM disk must be used, as far as I remember. My guess would be that
this should be possible for (E)IDE as well, although I hope that a more
knowledgeable person will fill in the details here... :-}
