You're talking RHL 4.2 here, right? In that case, boot from your boot/setup
disk, and when the prompt appears, type "linux rescue" - that'll drop you
into rescue mode. There's a section about that in the manual. Mind you, the
rescue mode is rather limited and requires some messing around before you
can actually start fixing things. You'll have to mount your Linux (root)
partition on /mnt, then run /mnt/etc/sbin/lilo -C /mnt/etc/lilo.conf (if
that conf file is correct, of course!). Depending on your setup, it might be
necessary to make a few symlinks in /dev, as not all /dev entries are there
and lilo tends to complain if they're missing.
