I did that so as not to spawn 255 (or more) ping processes. at the time I
wrote it, it did not have enough "spare" memory and cycles for that.
batches of 50 which are then killed (any leftovers) worked better for me.
feel free to take that out, but this batching didn't cause any noticable
slowdown or delay for me.
This same script could be used across a classB if you wanted, with minor
changes. imagine sapwning 255*255 = 65000 ping processes without a break
:)
