Strange think that happened to me too.
I asked redhat for making my mouse work to PS/2,
but they couldn't find what the problem was.
After a while i reinstalled 5.1 with my mouse connected
from the beginning to PS/2 and 5.1 find it at once.
I cannot explain why this happened but i am very glad it did.
