This strikes me as a very strange comment, kind of like saying that having two
cars is a waste of a garage.

This should be do-able, no problem.  However, I found your message a bit vague
as to exactly what steps you've taken.  It sounds like you're trying to
install Win98 and NT on the same partition, which will not work.  You want a
separate primary partition for each, which you switch between at boot time
(using Lilo, Boot Manager, or Boot Magic).

I would recommend visiting PowerQuest's web site (www.powerquest.com), which
has a great deal of information (and a user forum) on the subject of
installing multiple operating systems (they make Partition Magic).
