We are wanting to intall RedHat 5.1 on a big Intel server that has an
onboard AMI MegaRAID controller. However we are unable to find any
drivers or Linux support at all for this controller. Has anybody seem
some or attempted to do this before? The installer program does not
detect any SCSI devices, so stock RH 5.1 can't find it. I've looked quite
a bit on the web for drivers but wasn't able to find some.
If we're unable to find any, we'd probably get a standard dual PII of
somesort and an external DPT raid box with a DPT PCI controller. Does
anybody have any good or bad experience with these (which seem to be
supported under Linux, there's a HOW-TO for them.)
Thanks for any info.
