Unfortunately we here on the list have no idea what you are seeing on your
screen and that makes it tough, at least for me, to answer this question.
You don't say which window manager you are using.  That will help in that
it will let people of this mail list know the font that is used as the
default for the window manager you have selected.

You also don't say what size monitor you are using, or the resolution and
color depth you have selected.

Lastly, what is wrong with the characters that are being displayed.

I run OpenWindows, 1024x768, true color and do not have a problem.

Depends on the window manager.  But, in general you just highlight the
text and then you use the middle mouse button to paste the text.

So, in order for us to help, you need to provide more information.
