libgtk problem

When I try to run linuxconf, gimp, and probably some other programs I
have not run accross yet I'm getting the following error.
$ gimp
gimp: error in loading shared libraries
/usr/lib/libgtk.so.1: undefined symbol: g_strdelimit
I'm not sure what I loaded that may be causing this, but I sure do miss
not having the gimp : ) .
