Magic :)
More seriously I grabbed the 2 quoted emails from my 'personal' archive -
aka INBOX in pine. they were new enough, along with containing info of
interest to me, that they had not been deleted yet. I did not mean to
imply that the search engine was fixed, I've never used it.
