hi Tim,
creating a 'public_html' dir works like a charm and is indicated
in both the gui and the 'srm.conf' file. But here is a question that i
am getting a simular deny problem. How are people getting their users
to ftp to their $home dirs for updating their webpages and having users
chrooting so that their docuroot for users is their $home dir. I can
do this using 'ftpaccess' but i then get a access denied when attempts
r made to view via browser the users home pages. What i am trying to
get working properly is so that browsers can access for example
http://www.mydomain.com/~username/file.html
it works fine like this by default with users being able to ftp up
their .html files but they can also see the structure and dirs
below their $home dir. When i try to use 'ftpaccess' to chroot
them to their $home dir it works as well with the users being able to
ftp up to their $home dirs without any problem. But here is where it
goes wrong... Then when attempts are made to view the
http://www.mydomain.com/~username/file.html
the browser gets a access denied signal... Thanks for any
suggestions:)
