Hello.

We have a big problem. There are several Linux-Servers installed with Red
Hat 4.2, 5.0 and 5.1 (with alle Patches available). Via ssh/telnet i login
into this servers for administration purpose (Updates, examining Logfiles
a.s.o.). Several Servers are not inhouse, so this is the only solution to
administrate them.

If i try to configure the kernel (make menuconfig) i get error 139.

The problem occurs if i try to do this from

	5.0 -> 4.2
	5.1 -> 4.2

What i can do ?

Thanks for your help.

Best regards,
  Kai Szymanski.
