According to the Symbios WWW site at
"http://www.symbios.com/semi/scsichra.htm#Adapter Features", that card
is an ISA card based on the SYM53C416 chip. Linux does have a driver
for the NCR 53C400 series of SCSI controllers. RedHat's WWW page lists
it as a "Tier 2 Supported SCSI Adapter".

For what its worth, if you've got a system with PCI slots, and decide to
use SCSI seriously, I would get a Symbios-based PCI card based on the
53C8XX chips - it would be a lot faster, with lower system overhead. A
Diamond Fireport 20 supports Ultra SCSI at 20MHz, and sells for about
$69 mail order.

FYI, Symbios *was* NCR's electronics division, spun off for a few years,
and has has now been purchased by LSI.
