One word Gordon: cool.
I think I was one of the recent people looking around for ISP-type tools,
and I'm stoked to here you're having a go at it.
it appears that around 10/21/98 1:11 PM, Gordon Messmer said:

A couple thoughts: so far, this sounds very "dial-up"-centric. What you
point out is important of course, but there's a lot more that takes time
other than simply managing 'users;' specifically, the stuff I was looking
for automates/simplifies all the other stuff that goes into monitoring
your servers, ie checking/deleting logs, poking around for bugaboos, disk
usage, maybe bandwidth utilization, etc.
Ultimately, my motivation was to have ONE TOOL that you could sit a
newbie-sub-admin down in front of, and with not a lot of instruction, let
them admin most of the day-to-day stuff.
I wouldn't rely on an ignorant to be fully responsible for a server, but
our problem down here is there just aren't that many capable Un*x server
admins; and it would always be helpful to be able to sub in a creative to
do some of daily checking and clean up.
Hope the thoughts help - and that they don't lead to terminal
feature-creep.
