In addition to that, I experienced that the 8xx driver is a *lot* faster with
my 810 than the 7xx/8xx one. When changing from the 7xx/8xx to 8xx, my
combination of an ASUS xxx-200 (forgot the exact name) SCSI card with an IBM
DCAS 2.1GB drive jumped from about 2.2MB/s to 6MB/s - wohoo! :-)
