To the list,

I have RedHat 5.1 with all updates running AfterStep at 16bpp.

I need a way of switching between 8bpp and 16bpp color depth without
having to re-run XConfigurator.

Is there a way of doing this?

I know that if configured, by pressing Clt-Alt-[ - +] will switch
between resolutions however I need a way of switching color depths.

So if I have missed a FAQ or something and this has been answered before
then please point me in the right direction.

If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it.

TIA
