sendmail problem (fwd)

I followed my friend's direction setting up 2 mail servers one backing
another, both on RD 5.1.
My MX record is similar to the following:
swallow.com MX 10 mail.swallow.com
MX 50 smtp.swallow.com
And I have included the following in mail.swallow.com's sendmail.cw
swallow.com
mail.swallow.com
I also put the following in smtp.swallow.com's relay_allow
swallow.com
mail.swallow.com
Alright, time for testing. I quited sendmail of mail.swallow.com and send a
mail to me@swallow.com, I did a sendmail -v me@swallow.com from
smtp.swallow.com, and got the following result. I tried doing the same from
a remote server, and I got a returned message with a similar error.
me@swallow.com... Connecting to mail.swallow.com. via esmtp...
me@swallow.com... Connecting to smtp.swallow.com. via esmtp...
220 smtp.swallow.com ESMTP Sendmail 8.8.7/8.8.7; Tue, 20 Oct 1998 10:23:40

Closing connection to smtp.swallow.com.
All I wanted is if mail.swallow.com is not available, smtp.swallow.com would
take all mails, store them, and forward them to mail.swallow.com when
available.
Anything obvious that I have missed?
