type:
host fqdn
Look at the output. Is there a cname looking back at it's self?
Also take a close look at your sendmail.cw file. If your fqdn there.
Next look at routing to the box. Telnet from another box to your port 25.
type this:
helo fqdn
mail from: yourname@fqdn.com
rcpt to: root@fqdn.com
data
subject: Test message
Testing 123
.
Ok this will send at test message.
Also ping your mail server address is there two ping back?
Tell me what does not work.
