I'm sure this kind of thing has been mentioned, but I am as yet
unaware of a solution, so here it is: I just got a dual P2/400 (Xeon) with
256M ram, and 3 18G scsi drives striped. it has two AIC-7890s and an
AIC-7860 (cdrom), and a raid adapter, of which model/brand I am uncertain,
not being at work currently. Anyway, is there a way to get the RedHat
install to recognize and make use of this setup? I got a beta AIC driver
with support for the AIC-7890 from ftp.dialnet.net/pub/linux/aic7xxx, and
it detects all three SCSI cards in the machine, but seems not to be able
to handle the RAID setup. Anyone have some ideas? I'm very interested in
seeing this beast run linux :)
Matt
