You are using "glint".  It has bugs, which are mostly fixed in updated
"glint" and "rpm"
packages.   Even then, a bug remains: glint freezes if the 'configured'
directory has
a subdirectory.

1. Get the new rpms for glint and rpm - and read www.redhat.com/errata about
rpm in in particular - and do what it says.

2. Make sure the directory you "CONFIGURE" for available packages
does NOT HAVE SUBDIRECTORIES.   If necessary, copy things to another
place and have no subdirectories there.  Set the "CONFIGURE" directory to
that new place.

Then it will work fine!
