This past weekend I tried to install RH51 on an older P133. It's got an
ATAPI CDROM but it is not recognized by the installer. I was able to
install Slackware only when I entered in "ramdisk hdc=cdrom" as a
parameter. How can I pass parameters to the kernel? (The install
specifically says you cannot pass ramdisk params to the kernel.)

Also... One feature Slackware has that I thought was interesting was it
allowed for custom selection of a console font. Can that be done under
RH? If so, how?

Off topic: Does slackware have a package management system like RPM?
Last time I used it you just unzipped/untared a file and compiled/ran
the package.
