Umm, IIRC, I had to take some steps here. First, I installed the actual
gtk-1.0.6, gtk-devel-1.0.6, glib-1.0.6, and glib-devel-1.0.6 packages, and
I built gimp from the src rpm (at the time - ~2 weeks ago - I couldn't
find a gimp rpm built against gtk and glib 1.0.6). Next, I uninstalled
all my gtk and glib packages (need to force those uninstalls once in a
while), then installed all the gnome stuff. The gtk+10 and glib10
packages in the gnome dist. replace gtk and glib 1.0.6.
If you want the gimp 1.0.0 I built vs. the 1.0.6 versions of gtk and glib,
let me know. It plays very nicely with gnome. Not only that, all the Red
Hat tools (e.g. usernet) that used to break when gtk+ replaced gtk now
work again.
