hello. i've upgraded the kernel to 2.0.35 along with soundconfig-0.25-8
and tried to execute soundconfig which returned a message that modules
were not enabled in the kernel. i was under the impression that that the
modules
were compiled into the kernel. mind you, the system booted up with the
new
kernel nicely and both my jaz and zip drives(scsi) loaded as modules
were
present. upon checking the symlinks in my /boot directory as
well as checking for the file in the /lib/modules directory it seems as
if the modules
are compiled into the kernel. am i mistaken? should i build the sound
modules into the kernel? i don't understand.

regards,

jack
