Hi,
We use this MacX on a box that has A/UX on it with the MacOS 7.5.1. It is a very
nice interface. We have no troubles in using this as a remote termial for other
X sessions, so I can vouch that it works.
It is not in use very much, being displaced first by NeXT and then later totally
from the Mac family with the NEW Jobs' Ideological path to the iMac. the point
is, this X server should be CHEAP! If it is not, and you have a hard time
finding it, you should try posting on the news groups to see if you can buy an
older copy cheap.
I think you have to be on 7.5.1 and loaded with the A/UX extensions for it to
A/UX, by the way, is a pretty cool OS for a Mac. You can do all your favorite
*nix stuff. :) Actually, someone here has mentioned that it proabably makes
sense to get an older Quadra (specifically the Workgroup Server95) as that was
the platform it was designed for (the A/UX, that is...).
