Hi,
I had this problem too - makewhatis builds the manual pages databases and
in one of the manual directories (I think its /usr/man/man1), you'll find
a symlink from fetchmail1.conf to nowhere. I don't know where it came
from - I suspect its an install bug. Just delete that symbolic link (rm
fetchmail1.conf) and the message will go away. Drove me nuts for awhile..
