At some point you modified your computer's configuration, probably in the
CMOS.
If you have a newer system the IO settings (and the BI-DIRECTIONAL, etc...)
can be set in CMOS.
Try setting the CMOS to reflect another I/O configuration AND also play with
the ECP/EDP settings, you might need to turn off all the enhanced port
funtions...
