Trying to use rpm to upgrade to ncurses 4.1-12.i386.rpm gave the
following error
/usr/lib/terminfo -9: operation not permitted when executed the
post-installation scripts
I never did get ncurses to install but I didn't have to time to hack.
Instead I found another application of similar function using a
different library.
However after the unsuccessfule installation of nCURSEs library I get
the follwing error when I type 'clear'
'xterm': unknown terminal type
and applications like rasmol complain about unknown terminal type and
crash.
Anyone know what has happened and how do I fix it ?
