I wish to setup a PPP link between two Colgate boxes using the serial ports,
however all th HOW-TOs only seem to cover this using a modem. I don't need
modems as the two PCs are back to back. I wish to route between the two boxes
across the serial link. A cut down version of my network looks like this:
+------------------------------+
| Token Ring (10.1.1.0) |
+--+---------------------------+
|
|10.1.1.4
|
+--+---+ 10.3.1.0? +------+
| PC 1 +----------------+ PC 2 |
+--+---+ Serial Link +--+---+
| |
|10.2.1.4 |10.2.1.3
| |
+--+-----------------------+---+
Ethernet (10.2.1.0)
Can anyone point me the right direction with this, is there a "better" way
than using PPP, bearing in mind that I wish to route across the serial link.
