upgrading RH 3.0.3 running 2.0.0 kernel using RH 4.0 updates?

Among all the clamor over RH 4.0 and lack of RH 3.0.3 support, I have a
modest question: Since it does not appear that the RH 3.0.3 updates
directory is being updated anymore, can I apply the RH 4.0 errata updates if
I am running the 3.0.3 kernel 2.0.0 upgrade?
I am referring primarily to things like the Tex and ghostscript
distributions, and possibly stuff nearer to the base system like the
NetKit-B RPM's.
