This is because there are three formats (Intel Indeo, Radius Cinepak,
and something else) which the author can only support by providing a
precompiled object file.  I would venture a guess that either RH will
only distribute things available in source or it will not include
these modules because they are only available for x86 on linux.
Or it may be a licensing problem, but nothing jumped out in my glance
at the licensing.
