Good evening everyone,

I recently obtained a copy of the Micro$oft TCP/IP for Windows
for Workgroups TCP/IP stack, in hopes that I would be able to
do file sharing between the WFW box and my Linux box, plus
use TCP/IP tools like Netscape and Mosaic. I have the Samba
server set up and working with a win95 box, which is working fine.

I installed the driver according to the directions, and all went according
to plan, except that IP network traffic is not going through my Linux
box and out to the rest of the world. Everything worked fine
with trumpet. I am using kernel 2.0.10 with IP masquerading
enabled. IP traffic on my Ethernet between the WFW machine
and the Linux box works fine. Gateway settings are correct,
the same as the ones that Trumpet used. DNS lookups are
also failing. My Ethercard is a 3com 3c589 PCMCIA card, 10baseT,
with the 3com Windows drivers installed and operational. The
WFWTCP protocol

Is the WFWTCP stack trying to do something that Trumpet
wasn't doing, like pinging all hosts before connecting or something?

Hope someone can help. TIA!
