PPP bombing out

I have PPP-2.2.0f and RH 3.0.3. I have applied kernel patches according to
PPP distribution. I run a small www server over my PPP link and trouble starts
when I try to do *any* tcp/ip activity with the outside world. Link just
freezes and stays connected. As for incoming traffic, there is no problem.
People access my server and stays connected for days.
Is it a known bug?
