2940's and their relatives give more trouble than just about any other
SCSI adaptor under Linux. :-(
You can try using the kernel that's on the floppy image at
ftp://ftp.redhat.com/johnsonm/bootaic7xxx-alt.img.gz
Mount the floppy, copy vmlinuz from the floppy to your /boot, and
re-run lilo. If that works, please let me know via personal email
