I don't think so; I think that the IN key is optional. Lacking any other
options I tried it anyway, and it didn't seem to affect anything.
The answer I stumbled on was my _originating_ machine's sendmail.cw file.
I'd been pulling my hair out messing with the _receiving_ machine's
sendmail.cw, and the addition of one line to the former file solved the
looping problem.
Now if I knew a way to get system-wide aliases (/etc/aliases) to be expanded
on local mail!
