I have no clue what's that (underlined) all about but I've been
using parallel port drives including ZIPs since 1.3.7?. All I did
was:
1. Enabled SCSI support
2. Enabled SCSI disk support
3. Enabled PPA support.
(all three can be monolithic or modular)
Had to do nothing more than that to get it working... What can
I suggest...
1. Aren't you by any chance have that drive on port other than LPT1
(lp0)? Then you need to pass a parameters to the kernel, I know
there's a way but I never tried.
2. Are you trying to mount your ZIP drive through /etc/fstab on
a bootup and you have it compiled as a module? It won't always work.
3. You have a printer connected to the drive and printer is not
compiled as a module. Recompile printer as a module and try again. :)
I'd be interesed to find out if you solved the problem.
