One of dial-in customers sent a 50mb email message. It ended up having
to sit in the mailq and every time sendmail tried to send it, the hard
drive started thrashing and the machine ground to a halt. Is this
normal? It seems like sendmail would have some protection against
grabbing the entire system like it did. Do I have something configured
wrong? Aside from this sendmail has been running fine.

Thanks,
Linc
