Hello,
I have made a few update to a machine that provides remote printing service
(Indre) to another RH4.0 machine (Loire). Before that, it worked.
Now, when I do lpq on loire (the remote queue is the default one).
I get an error like this :
indre.ripault.cea.fr: lpd: t.cea.fr
úÿ¿: Your host does not have line printer
access
My conclusion is that the code that calls gethostbyaddr in lpd has a bug in it.
My DNS seems to work as usual (host gives plain good answers)
Did the libc (strncpy...) or lpd change in recent update packages ?
