NFS Mount Problem

I am having a problem with doing a NFS mount. I have two machines
both RedHat 4.0 and do a NFS mount from one machine, but not the
other one. I think I have everything setup exactly the same on both
machines, but I get the error:
mount: raven:/ failed, reason given by server: Permission denied
I don't see any other error messages.
My network is called comsat.net.
I have the same thing in both /etc/exports:
/ *.comsat.net (rw)
/cdrom *.comsat.net (ro)

raven:/ /raven nfs defaults 1 1
Yes, the directory /raven exists.

I can mount picard on raven, but not the other way around. I even tried
using 'amd' from raven to mount picard and the works fine also,
however, I can't do a simple NFS mount of raven from picard. Are there
any files I should look at ? The file /etc/hosts.allow is the same on both
machines, and there's nothing in /etc/hosts.deny on either machine,
however I don't know if these files are involved in a NFS mount.
I can ftp. telnet, ping, rlogin from each machine to the other.
Any suggestions or pointers please, I know this is a dumb problem
but I just can't figure out what must be wrong on picard.
