How can I read the source for an RPM package?

Specifically, how do I install the package-X.Y.Z.src.rpm?

On RH 4 CD to I set SRPMS as current directory and executed as root
# rpm -ivh iBCS-2.0-2.src.rpm
and it said
iBCS                         ###############################
then I said
# rpm -q iBCS-2.0-2.src
and it said
package iBCS-2.0-2.src is not installed
