More info needed. What kind of disks? How many cylinders? What IDE
chipsets? The most common form of thsi problem I have experienced is
trying to have linux boot above the 1024 cylinder boundry. The other
problem I have had is doing an upgrade, I was forced to login, rebuild
the kernel and rerun lilo. Yet another has been one machine I had with
a CMD chipset. Feel free to email me personally for a quicker response.
