I would be very grateful if you could outline a feasible procedure whereby
I could use the standard boot disk which starts the install procedure,
then put the other (which one?) disc in, and use ftape to restore my system.
Note, that I would have to use a ramdisc in order to have access to ftape.
I am also not quite sure which driver you are talking about.
Would you by any chance know how to use the standard
boot disc to boot the live system off the CD? Or in fact any boot disc,
in place of the elusive liveboot.img which, according to the manual,
is supposed to reside somewhere on the RH 4.0 CD, but so far many
(including myself) failed to locate. This would help in some cases
of 'unbootability'.
Thanks for responding, please do elaborate your hints. Clearly, you
know much more than I do.
