I have the RH4.0 running along with the Caldera Network Desktop on my
Toshiba 405cs with no hardware related problems at all.
This is a 75 MH pentium with 40megsRAM (also worked well at 16)
810 MB ide HD
4X CD-ROM
Megahertz 28.8 XJack modem
Adaptec Slim-SCSI host adapter card
3-Com EtherLink-III NIC card
This configuration allows the floppy to be in an external case connected
via a floppy drive port so that both the floppy and the CD-ROM are
available at once for OS installs. The video sub-system is a Chips and Tech
65545 with 1024 VRAM for a maximum display of 1024x768 at 256 colors and is
supported by MetroX and XFree86. You should be able to find the basic
package still at a price of about 1500 to 1700$ so with more RAM plus the
PC cards total about $2500 to $2800.
I would be happy to answer any specific questions.
Tom
