I installed 4.0 (Intel) from CD yesterday. I followed the
instructions on the FAQ and two other Linux books and still am
unable access my modem, it keeps locking up when I use either
Minicom or CU. I tried two different modems that I know work and
also replaced my serial cable. I can't even cat a file to the
modem because it too locks up. Can anyone shed some light. TIA
